ISTE Honored as 2014 Learning! 100 Award Winner

WASHINGTON, D.C. Aug. 26, 2014 The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) is the winner of a 2014 Learning! 100 award from Elearning! Media Group (EMG), honoring excellence in learning across enterprises that invest in a truly immersive learning culture. The nonprofit joins organizations such as Facebook, NASCAR, American Express Travel and other industry leaders who drive performance through learning. 

" "Learning is at the very core of ISTE's mission to empower learners to flourish in a connected world by cultivating a passionate professional learning community," " said ISTE CEO Brian Lewis, who accepted the award on the organization's behalf. " 

ISTE offers education leaders a wide range of professional learning opportunities. From its annual conference and expo, attended this year by upwards of 22,000, and the recently launched Verizon Mobile Learning Academy to its extensive professional publishing program that includes the online resource portal, the EdTekHub, and the organization's quarterly magazine, entrsekt, ISTE provides a multitude of resources to support the effective integration of technology to transform learning and teaching. 

ISTE was recognized at the Learning! 100 awards dinner and reception on August 25 at the Enterprise Learning! Conference in Anaheim, California. The EMG Learning! 100 Awards recognize the top 100 organizations for their best-in-class learning and development programs, enabling learning culture that creates outstanding organizational performance.
