The Brain: Developing Lifelong Learning Habits
The Brain: Developing Lifelong Learning Habits
The habits that help students thrive aren't fixed traits. Persistence, curiosity, flexible thinking, they can be taught. This course shows you how.
In Developing Lifelong Learning Habits, you'll gain a working knowledge of the habits of mind and the strategies to build them in any learning environment. Built on the framework from Arthur Costa and Bena Kallick, you'll explore why these habits matter more than ever, learn what the 16 habits are and how they differ from skills, and work through persistence and curiosity, independence and creativity, openness and wonder, and empathy and self-direction, leaving with practical tools and a personal plan you can put to work right away.
This is a 15-hour, self-paced course with ongoing instructor support.
