HARTFORD, CONNECTICUT – The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE), an education nonprofit that supports the use of technology to accelerate innovation in education, today announced a statewide partnership with the Connecticut Department of Education and Connecticut Commission for Educational Technology to provide high quality, back-to-school professional development at no cost to public school educators based in Connecticut. With this partnership, Connecticut’s public school educators can attend ISTE U’s Summer Learning Academy 2021 for free. Register today with your work email address.

Over the past year, teachers have stretched their abilities and increased their confidence as they tried new tools, new models and new ways of teaching in their classrooms and districts. Through ISTE U’s Summer Learning Academy 2021, educators can further leverage the new ways of teaching and the new skills learned during the pandemic in order to help students succeed in the upcoming school year.

The Summer Learning Academy features 15 hours of learning, including three microcourses and six expert webinars, that will prepare teachers to return to familiar learning environments in a pandemic-transformed world. Designed for teachers, tech coaches and directors, librarians, and media specialists, educators will explore the topics of designing for inclusion, supporting student well-being, and accelerating student-driven learning.

ISTE U’s Summer Learning Academy will run Aug. 2-13, 2021. However, the flexible format will allow participants to attend live or watch later. Connecticut educators who register by Aug. 31, 2021, will be able to access course materials and recordings through Oct. 31, 2021.

If you are a public school educator in Connecticut, register with your work email address to attend ISTE U’s Summer Learning Academy 2021 for free
