Next Level AI Skills for Educators

As artificial intelligence (AI) technologies advance, so must our explorations into the intersections of AI and educational practices. This course is designed to get beyond the basics, equipping you to curate, create, and critically assess AI technologies and ensuring they enhance your educational goals in meaningful and responsible ways. It focuses on the skills, practical applications, and ethical considerations that will empower you, your colleagues, and your students to be informed users and creators of AI applications for educational use.

This is a 15-hour, self-paced course with ongoing instructor support. No previous knowledge of AI or experience coding is required, but it is encouraged you have some familiarity with AI.

Mark Gerl

Mark Gerl is a Middle Grades Technology Teacher at The Galloway School in Atlanta, GA. He holds a M.Ed. degree in Instructional Technology and Innovation from Kennesaw State University, with a Specialization in Online and Virtual Learning. Mark has been an active member of the ISTE-GM AI Explorations community since its pilot program in 2018 and currently serves as a coach for the ISTE U AI Explorations for Educators and Next Level AI Skills for Educators online courses.
