Our Framework Development Process: Built With and For Educators


As we work on updating our Teacher Ready edtech evaluation framework and tool, we want to share a little about what we’re learning through the research process.

 

With many AI and educational frameworks already available, we asked ourselves: How can we create a framework that reflects what we know from research about edtech effectiveness and fits with the lived experience of teachers, instructional leaders, and administrators? 

Our answer centers on putting educator voices at the heart of every development phase, integrating feedback from practicing educators throughout our work while building on extensive research including literature review, landscape analysis, and rigorous validation processes. We believe the most effective educational frameworks emerge when solid research meets real classroom wisdom. 

 

Over the next two months, we’ll be posting four one-pagers that deep dive into the main themes from our original Insights from the Field About AI-Powered TechThese one-pagers will expand each of the four themes to explore the types of questions we’re hearing from education practitioners about AI’s impact on education today. These questions inform the updates to the Teacher Ready framework, which will be released in early 2026.
