ISTE and the Worlddidac Association Join Forces to Advance Excellence in Learning Through Effective Use of Technology

WASHINGTON, D.C. Oct 28, 2014 The International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) and the Worlddidac Association today joined forces to promote their shared goal of advancing excellence in learning and teaching through innovative and effective uses of technology.

ISTE is the premier nonprofit organization serving more than 100,000 educators and education leaders worldwide who are committed to empowering connected learners in a connected world. ISTE is also the creator of the ISTE Standards, the widely recognized and adopted definitive standards for learning, teaching and leading in the digital age. Headquartered in Bern, Switzerland, the Worlddidac Association is the global trade association for member companies from around the world who are dedicated to serving education and furthering educational practices and learning techniques.

Fthenakis and ISTE CEO Brian Lewis signed a memorandum of understanding today in Basel, Switzerland, formalizing their commitment to further the advancement of schools. The two global organizations agree to work together to ensure that educators around the world have access to contemporary professional learning opportunities and resources to realize the power of technology to transform learning. They will also collaborate to create environments where students have access to technology to support learning.
