ISTE 2016 is packed with rigorous deep learning opportunities, but that doesn’t mean attendees are locked into taking everything seriously.

Participants in the ISTE Game Show at the TIP Pavilion in the expo hall found learning to be fun and games.

Fans of “Family Feud” know the score: Teams of four line up to guess the top answers to ISTE topic surveys and steal answers from each other for the points. Some of the questions focus on ed tech, such as, "Name a way students can use a tablet for learning (No. 1 answer: research, followed by create a video, access apps, take a photo, and take notes). Other questions related to the host city, such as, "Name a professional sports team based in Colorado.” (Rockies, anyone?)

And, like the televised version, participants enjoy hamming up their moment in the spotlight, even when the questions are tougher than you’d think. Audience members aren’t cut out of the competition. All conference attendees are invited to play along via the conference mobile app.

Prizes for the winning teams range from a one-year subscription to Brain Pop to Belkin International Tech enhancement packages. All audience members may have their badges scanned for the $2,000 prize drawing for a Best Buy education gift card on Wednesday afternoon. Stop by the TIP Pavilion for your chance to win — and lend your applause.

Game show times: Tuesday, June 28 1:00-2:00 and 3:00-4:00 p.m. Prize winner announcements Wednesday, June 29, 12:00-12:15 p.m.
