More Than 16,500 Attend ISTELive 2024 in Denver, Colorado, and Virtually

Denver, Colorado – More than 16,500 attendees, both in person and through a virtual capacity, attended this year's ISTELive conference which was held in Denver, Colorado from June 23-26. Thousands of teachers and edtech industry leaders from around the globe gathered to explore the latest advancements in technology for effective teaching and learning.

Over the course of four days, the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) hosted a multitude of programs and sessions presented by 2335 global experts and filled an exhibitor hall with more than 400 companies who are offering innovative edtech solutions for practical strategies that can be implemented in classrooms, schools, districts, and beyond.

ISTELive 24 was hybrid, allowing attendees to join in-person or online from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and 84 countries. Denver, Colorado, drew more than 15,300 attendees to the Colorado Convention Center and over 1,200 tuned in online.

This year’s attendees were able to hear the latest in ISTE news, including the launch of a coalition of the leading education organizations that introduced the five quality indicators for edtech and AI products, an enhanced edtech index powered by AWS, as well as a grant award from Microsoft Philanthropies to advance AI in teacher preparation programs and more.

Sessions provided insight ranging from digital citizenship, equity, AI, project-based learning, and reimagining the blended classroom setting. Other highlights of the conference included the Innovation Arcade where 4000 attendees were able to experience immersive learning through AI, AR, and VR. The Arcade included a VR exploration lounge, a showcase of the latest developments in AI, AR, and XR, a model classroom space that integrates emerging edtech in a real-world setting, and wellness areas.

This year's conference was supported by 424 volunteers and staff. It garnered an extensive presence on social media with more than 22,000 posts using the #ISTELive hashtag – reaching 42 million people during the course of the event.
